Salty Goon Gear is an apparel lifestyle brand built around the grit, edge, fight, and glory of ice hockey.

 It's about those intense moments, that nonstop drive, and the attitude to give your absolute best.

No quitting. No falling down without getting back up.

HOW IT STARTED

SGG kicked off in September 2024 with a vision to bring some fight, grit, and sick artwork back into hockey and the apparel world.

Everything out there had gotten too soft. Too vector. Bland.

As artist lead and lifelong hockey heads, we couldn’t find anything that spoke louder than just a team name or some black and white badge.

 We wanted graphics that felt gritty, personal, and straight outta the 90s.

A little rough around the edges but packed with soul.

Something that stood out in this sea of copy paste brands.

 

WHY THE NAME? 

Salty Goon Gear... it just sounds awesome right?

Salty has bite, sting, flavor, and attitude.

Goon is that throwback to the old-school enforcer, which the modern game is kinda missing.

And Gear? That’s just what ties it all up. It hits.

WHERE IT STARTED 

Grew up on Long Island. Street hockey was life.

First Rollerblades in 1997. Orange hockey ball. 

Yelling "CAAAAR" every five minutes to pull the net.

Now we're based in Central Oregon, but those roots?

Still skating strong.

WHAT INSPIRES THE LOOK 

Grit. Monsters. Punk Rock. Streetwear. Band tees.

That loud Rat Fink energy with some vintage grime.

We guess they call it retro now.

But it’s always been the style.

We’ve got a couple top shelf screen printers and even a wizard we work with for all our fun extras!

Stickers, apparel, all that.

We also work with the best DTG printers for made-to-order stuff so we can manage inventory without skimping on quality.

WHO'S BEHIND THIS? 

We’re a small team but the vision started with Corey.

Big red beard. Artist. Designer. Husband. Father.

 His faith drives him to push for excellence in everything he does.

Raised on Long Island, surrounded by Islanders and Rangers fans.

Moved out West and thanks to his father-in-law, dove headfirst into Detroit Red Wings territory.

 Born and bred Detroit. Gotta respect it.

THE MISSION 

Year one is about staying consistent.

 Putting out killer art. Building the crew.

Keeping the momentum going.

Because the only way you fail is if you quit.
